Cowes is ideally situated in southern England, on the Isle of Wight. A ferry passenger service operates a route between Cowes and Southampton. East Cowes is the smaller part of Cowes, but its seafront is a pleasant and nice attraction for the entire family, while the Solent and Hampshire coastlines offer magnificent views. East Cowes also hosts the famous annual Cowes Week regatta.

The ferry terminal is positioned just a three-minute walk from the floating bridge, which is situated just north of the town's shopping area. Several services and amenities can be found nearby the port including banks, restaurants and a selection of shops.


The Isle of Wight is one of the most picturesque parts of the UK, with the island boasting astonishing natural beauty and an extensive network of walking paths, making it easy to get up close to nature. The Isle of Wight offers attractions that are suitable for the whole family and it is a popular tourist destination all year round. Alternatively, the island offers historical buildings, excellent restaurants and art galleries.

Ferry Services


Red Funnel Group operates ferry sailings between Southampton and the Isle of Wight all year round. Between Southampton and East Cowes, the Passenger Vehicle Ferry transports cars, coaches, cargo and passengers.

The Red Jet Hi-Speed services only carry passengers from Southampton to West Cowes and the duration of the crossing is only 22 minutes.
